Merging PDFs online: frequently asked questions
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
As many as you like. There is no limit on the number of files or pages: the only constraint is your device's memory, which is plenty for hundreds of pages.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The merge is computed entirely in your browser. Certyneo never receives, stores or looks at any of your files: closing the tab is enough to clear everything.
Are page order and quality preserved?
Yes. Pages are copied as they are, without recompression: text, images, links and bookmarks stay identical to the original, in the order you chose.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
Yes for the document open in the reader: its password is requested when you open it and checked on your device. PDFs you add afterwards must have no password; remove it first with the protection tool. The merged PDF keeps the password of the open document.
Does merging work on phones and tablets?
Yes. Certyneo Reader works in recent browsers on Android, iPhone and iPad as well as on a computer, with no app to install.
Does this PDF need to be signed?
Send it for electronic signature in minutes: your signers sign from their phone, without creating an account.
