Calculation methodology
We prefer to publicly show our assumptions rather than advertise an impressive figure out of context. Every line is auditable:
- Time savings (€)
contracts/month × time/contract × 12 × hourly cost. The time you enter covers printing, handwritten signing, scanning, archiving and follow-ups — the full paper or email cycle.- Direct costs avoided (€)
contracts/month × postal cost × 12. Includes paper, ink, envelope, postage (and registered mail where applicable). This is the most conservative line: real dematerialisation savings go further (physical archiving, binders, search time).- Revenue recovered on forgotten contracts (€)
contracts × loss % × conversion % × €1,200. Contracts that drag on never get signed and the corresponding deal is lost. We estimate the average B2B contract value at €1,200 — deliberately conservative. If your average deal size is higher, your actual ROI will exceed the figure shown.- Return on investment (months)
12 × €29 / (savings / 12). Compared against the Certyneo Standard plan at €29/user/month. For a multi-user team, multiply the denominator by the number of users concerned.
Sources for the default data
The default ranges (45 min per contract, €45 hourly cost, €3 postal cost) come from independent studies on the dematerialisation of contract processes. We synthesised operational feedback in the blog article "Contract dematerialisation: the concrete benefits". Our Enterprise electronic signature and eIDAS Regulation guides detail the associated regulatory frameworks.
