Electronic Signature
Definition
An electronic signature is a mechanism for affixing proof of identity and consent to a digital document, equivalent to a handwritten signature. Under the eIDAS regulation, it encompasses three levels of trust: simple (SES), advanced (AES) and qualified (QES).
