The electronic vault and evidential value

Why archive your signed documents in a vault, and how it preserves their legal value over time.

Why a vault rather than a plain folder

A signed document sitting in an inbox or shared drive is vulnerable: it can be deleted, altered or lost. The electronic vault archives it securely, encrypted and for the long term, with its proof file and timestamp.

What gives a document its evidential value

Evidential weight doesn't come from storage alone, but from a full chain:

  1. the signature at the right eIDAS level,
  2. the sealing of the document (a digital fingerprint that detects any change),
  3. the timestamp that reliably dates it,
  4. the evidential archiving that guarantees integrity over time.

It's this chain that lets you, years later, prove a document is authentic and hasn't been tampered with.

Finding and sharing a document

From the vault, you search, download or share a document in a few clicks, together with its evidence. In an audit or dispute, everything is in one place.
