The EU Trust List is the official register maintained by each EU Member State of qualified trust service providers (QTSPs) that have been audited and approved to issue qualified electronic signatures, seals, and time-stamps under the eIDAS Regulation. Inclusion on the list confers automatic legal recognition across all 27 Member States.
Indian legal context
An Indian business signing with EU clients can verify whether its e-signature provider is on the EU Trust List via the European Commission's Trusted List Browser. Aadhaar eSign providers are not on this list — for EU-eIDAS-qualified signing, the provider must be an EU-listed QTSP (such as Certyneo via its French QTSP partner).
