What is a photovoltaic installation quote?

The PV installation quote is the commercial act by which a QualiPV GER installer offers to a customer the supply and installation of a PV solar installation. It must comply with the Consumer Code (Articles L.121-21 et seq. for home delivery, L.111-1 for pre-contractual information), include the mandatory legal information (CGV, applicable unit price and VAT, VAT 10% or 20%, ten-year guarantee, two-year product guarantee, performance guarantee), and be COMPANYED with the GER certificate (Article 1 of December 2015 "Eco-conditionality").

Why sign the invoice for a photovoltaic installation electronically?

Signature before work + withdrawal period

The time stamped electronic signature proves the EXACT date of signing the quote the starting point of the 14-day withdrawal period (Consumer Code L.221-18) and the start of the eco-conditionality (earlier QualiPV GER certificate).

Bi-partite installer + customer (+ co-owner)

Our bi-party stream manages installer + client. For married couples under community or separation, add spouse/co-individual with individual SMS OTP for each. The quote commits the co-signatories jointly.

The 10-year warranty covers PV installations integrated into the building for 10 years (Article 1792 of the Civil Code).Certyneo archives the quote + audit trail eIDAS for 10 years, which is accessible in the event of a claim, legal expertise or customer dispute.

The eIDAS audit trail is open to objection

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the photovoltaic invoice be signed electronically?
The Consumer Code allows electronic signature for quotes (Art. L.221-13). eIDAS (AES) has the presumption of reliability of Article 1367 of the Civil Code necessary to prove the EXACT date of signature.
What's the withdrawal period after signing?
14 calendar days from the date of signature of the quote (Consumer Code L.221-18), for quotes signed at a distance or at home, unless the customer expressly requests advance execution (rare in PV as the customer loses the right of withdrawal).
What VAT should I apply to a PV quote?
VAT 10% for PV installations of ≤ 3 kWc in the main residence > 2 years (reduced rate, Article 279-0a CGI). VAT 20% for installations of > 3 kWc, new installations, tertiary buildings and total sales.
What are the mandatory terms on a PV quote?
Installer identity (SIRET, QualiPV RGE), customer, site address, detailed description (make/models of modules + inverter), kWc power, unit price HT and TTC, VAT, overall price, payment conditions, guarantees (ten yearly 10 years, two yearly 2 years, performance often 20-25 years), time of performance, GTC, mention of the right of withdrawal 14 days.
Is the quote enforceable once signed?
Yes the quote signed by both parties becomes a firm contract (Article 1101 of the Civil Code). Subsequent amendments = written endorsement signed by both parties. The eIDAS electronic signature provides the same opposing effect as a paper quote (Article 1366 of the Civil Code).
How long is a PV quote valid?
The cost of the electricity supply is calculated by dividing the cost of the electricity supply by the cost of the electricity supply.
Does the PV quote have to mention the EDF OA tariff?
Yes for installations sold in full or in surplus, the quote must mention the EDF OA purchase price applicable on the planned date of commissioning (Tariff Order S2 2026 or later).
What happens if there is a dispute over the quote?
Firstly, mediation through the consumer mediator of the branch (FFB for the BTP). Otherwise, legal action before the court of the place of performance of the contract.
