Frequently asked questions about filling in a PDF form
Is my form sent to a server?
No. Fields are read and written entirely inside your browser. That matters here: an official form carries your name, your address, sometimes your tax number. Certyneo receives nothing, stores nothing and adds no watermark.
What does « make it final » mean?
The values are drawn into the page and the fields are removed: the document looks the same everywhere and nobody can change your answers. Many administrations ask for it. Keep an unlocked copy if you may need to correct something.
My PDF has no fields to fill in — what now?
It is a form that was printed then scanned: it has no fields, only an image. Use « Annotate » to place your text anywhere on the page, which gives the same result once printed or sent.
Why are some characters refused?
A form rarely embeds more than the Latin alphabet. Characters no font in the document can write would come out as gibberish for the recipient: they are flagged while you type instead of being discovered when the file is opened.
Can I sign the form afterwards?
Yes. Once filled in, send it for signature from the reader: the Certyneo electronic signature applies to the document as you saved it. The PDF's own signature fields are left untouched.
