Cipher suite
Definition
A cipher suite is a named combination of cryptographic algorithms (key exchange, authentication, symmetric encryption, MAC/HMAC) negotiated between the client and server during the TLS handshake. TLS 1.3 mandates modern suites such as
TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384, eliminating weak algorithms (RC4, 3DES, MD5). Certyneo only accepts TLS 1.3 suites to maximise the security of signing sessions.Associated guides
