Send documents for signature from ChatGPT or Claude
The Certyneo connector lets ChatGPT or Claude look at your templates and signature requests, prepare a request with the signers you name, then send it once you confirm. It never signs for you and never opens the content of your documents. You can withdraw access whenever you like.
What the assistant can do for you
Five actions, all limited to your own account:
- List your signature templates (name, signature level, number of signers).
- List your signature requests with their status.
- Follow the progress of a request, signer by signer.
- Prepare a draft from one of your templates and the signers you name: nothing is sent.
- Send that draft, once you have confirmed.
What it cannot do
- Read the content of your documents.
- Get signing links or sign on your behalf.
- Prepare an advanced or qualified signature: they stay in the application, because each signer has to prove their identity there.
- Send a request created in the application, or see another account's requests.
How to connect your assistant
You add Certyneo as a custom connector in your assistant, using the address below. A Certyneo page then opens: you sign in and accept the permissions requested.
Connector address to paste into the assistant:
https://certyneo.com/api/mcpIn Claude
- Open Claude's connectors (Customize > Connectors), then add a custom connector.
- Give it a name, for example Certyneo, and paste the connector address.
- Choose sign-in, log in to Certyneo and accept the permissions shown.
- In a conversation, turn Certyneo on with the + button, then Connectors.
In ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT's connector settings and turn on developer mode. Depending on your plan, an administrator may have to allow it.
- Create a connector: give it a name and paste the connector address.
- Choose OAuth authentication, log in to Certyneo and accept the permissions shown.
- In a conversation, select the Certyneo connector from the + menu.
Exact menu names vary with the assistant's version and your plan: if in doubt, check the assistant's help.
Prepare, then confirm: how the connector stays safe
A signature request sent to the wrong person cannot be taken back. The connector therefore separates preparing from sending, and limits what the assistant can do.
Two separate steps
Preparing creates a draft and sends nothing. Sending is a second action, flagged as sensitive, which the assistant must put to you before carrying it out.
Only its own drafts
The assistant can only send a draft it prepared itself, never a request created in the application.
Ceilings
The number of drafts and sends per hour is limited, and your plan's quota applies as everywhere in Certyneo.
Instant withdrawal
You withdraw access at any time in Settings > Connected apps: it stops at once.
What the assistant sees and how it is processed is described in our privacy policy.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a particular Certyneo plan?
No: the connector is available on every Certyneo plan, within your plan's sending quota. On the assistant's side, being able to add a connector depends on the plan you have with ChatGPT or Claude.
Does the assistant read my documents?
No. It sees the name of your templates, the subject and status of your requests, and each signer's name, e-mail address and progress. Never the content of the documents or the signing links.
Can an assistant send a contract without my approval?
Sending is a separate action from preparing and is flagged as sensitive: assistants normally ask for your approval before carrying it out, unless you chose to always allow that action in their settings. You can review every draft in Certyneo.
How do I withdraw an assistant's access?
In Certyneo, open Settings > Connected apps and click Disconnect: access stops immediately.
What are the limits?
Only basic-signature templates can be used, with at most 20 signers per request. Advanced and qualified signatures are prepared in the application. The number of drafts and sends per hour is capped.
Which assistants are supported?
At launch, the connector is meant for ChatGPT and Claude.
