Certyneo × Axonaut — your e-signatures tracked on your customer records
Every step of a Certyneo signature (document sent, opened, signed, declined) is written as a note on the signer's Axonaut record, matched by e-mail or created as a prospect if it doesn't exist. You follow your quotes and contracts without leaving Axonaut, and no document leaves Certyneo.

Why connect Certyneo to Axonaut
The integration is built for small businesses that manage their customers and quotes in Axonaut and want to know where a signature stands without switching tools.
One note per event, on the right record
Each event you pick adds a note on the signer's Axonaut record: document, status, the reason for a decline when one was given, and a link to the Certyneo envelope.
New signers created as prospects
A signer missing from Axonaut is added once, as an individual prospect in their name: later signatures are added to that same record, with no duplicates.
Connect with a copy-paste
No app to install: paste your Axonaut API key into Certyneo. It is checked with Axonaut, then stored encrypted.
No document ever leaves Certyneo
Only notes are written to Axonaut. PDFs, signed or not, and their evidence file stay with Certyneo, hosted in the European Union.
Which events become notes?
You choose the events in Settings → Integrations. Out of the box, only a fully signed envelope creates a note; the others are one click away.

| Envelope sent | The document has just been sent for signature. The note names the document and the signer. |
| Recipient opened | The signer opened the document but hasn't signed it yet. |
| Recipient signed | This signer has signed; other signers on the same envelope may still be pending. |
| Envelope signed | Every signer has signed: the document is final. The note links back to the envelope in Certyneo. |
| Envelope declined | The signer declined to sign. The note includes their reason if they gave one. |
| Envelope cancelled | The sender cancelled the envelope before all the signatures were collected. |
| Envelope expired | The deadline passed before every signer had signed. |
Notes are written in your Certyneo account's language, titled "event — document name".
Connect Axonaut in 4 steps
It takes about two minutes. You need a Certyneo account and an Axonaut account; the API key is copied from your own Axonaut account.

Copy your Axonaut API key
In Axonaut, open Settings (the wrench top right), then API, and show your API key.

Open Settings → Integrations
In Certyneo, open Settings, then Integrations, and find the Axonaut card.

Paste the key and connect
Paste the key into the card and click "Connect Axonaut". Certyneo checks it with Axonaut before saving it.

Choose the events, then test
Tick the events to turn into notes and save. Then send a document: the note appears on the signer's record in Axonaut.
Security and compliance
The Axonaut integration follows the same rules as the rest of Certyneo: encrypted key, no document sent, full disconnection at any time.
- Axonaut API key encrypted with AES-256-GCM, never stored in plain text or shown again.
- The key is checked with Axonaut before it is saved: a rejected key connects nothing.
- No document or attachment is sent to Axonaut: only notes are written there.
- When you disconnect, Certyneo deletes its copy of your key. You can also regenerate it in Axonaut at any time.

What happens if the signer doesn't exist in Axonaut?
Certyneo creates them once, as an individual prospect in their name with their e-mail address. Later sends to the same signer add notes to that record, without duplicates.
What does Certyneo write to Axonaut?
Notes on the signer's record, and a prospect record when the signer doesn't exist yet. No document is sent to Axonaut.
How do I disconnect Axonaut?
In Certyneo: Settings → Integrations → Disconnect, on the Axonaut card. Certyneo deletes its copy of your key; notes already created stay in Axonaut.
Do I need to install an app in Axonaut?
No. The integration connects with your Axonaut API key: there is nothing to install in your management tool.
