You need to get a contract written in Word signed? The "signature line" built into Word is not sufficient for a binding signature. Here are the two methods, the reliable step-by-step procedure and the legal value of the result.
Can you sign a Word document electronically?
Yes, but with an important caveat. Word offers a "Signature Line" function that inserts a signed field, sometimes associated with a certificate.
