Signature level (simple, advanced, qualified)
Definition
The eIDAS regulation distinguishes three levels of electronic signature: simple signature (SES), which requires minimum identification; advanced signature (AES), which requires a unique link to the signer and strong authentication; and qualified signature (QES), which relies on a qualified certificate and a secure creation device.
