What is SEC EDGAR?
EDGAR (Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval) is the US Securities and Exchange Commission's public database of filings from companies that sell securities to the public. Every public company must file its disclosures here, and they are free for anyone to read. It's the primary source for annual reports, quarterly results, and material events.
