Signature level (simple, advanced, qualified)
Definition
The eIDAS regulation distinguishes three levels of electronic signature: the simple signature (SES), which requires a minimum of identification; the advanced signature (AES), which requires a unique link with the signatory and strong authentication; and the qualified signature (QES), which relies on a qualified certificate and a secure creation device.
