What we promise — and what we don't
Migrating from a signature platform has technical limitations imposed by DocuSign and Yousign. We're transparent about them.
What we commit to
- Recover 100% of signed documents that the source platform exports via its official API.
- Preserve the probative value of eIDAS evidence (timestamping, certificates, audit trail).
- Deliver a detailed compliance report specifying exactly what was imported and what could not be.
What we don't claim to do
- We don't bypass export limitations imposed by DocuSign or Yousign (archived envelopes > 7 years, deactivated accounts).
- We don't promise to recreate advanced conditional workflows specific to the source platform exactly as-is.
- We don't guarantee exact equivalence of proprietary proof formats — only the eIDAS legal value is guaranteed.
Frequently asked questions

How long does a migration take?
Between 2 and 8 weeks depending on volume and pack chosen. Small databases (< 1,000 documents) take 2–3 weeks. Enterprise multi-account migrations can span 2–3 months, including cutover.
Is the migration GDPR compliant?
Yes. We sign a DPA upfront, access only necessary data via your API credentials, and everything is hosted in Germany (EU). Your exports are deleted 30 days after cutover.
Do my eIDAS proofs retain their legal value?
Yes. Proofs generated by DocuSign or Yousign remain valid and are archived as-is at Certyneo. The eIDAS legal value is not degraded by the migration.
What if my source platform doesn't export everything?
We document every non-exportable case in the final compliance report. You can decide with full knowledge whether to keep read-only access to the old platform or accept the loss.
Will you rebuild my automated workflows?
Yes in the Business and Enterprise plans. We recreate the Certyneo equivalent of your envelope templates, signature orders, recurring fields and reminders. Highly specific conditional flows are adapted on a case-by-case basis.
Do I need to commit to a Certyneo plan before migration?
No for the quote and audit. Yes for the actual launch — you sign a Certyneo subscription agreement alongside the migration contract. Both start on go-live day.
